Bellevue Tourism Master Plan
Bellevue, Washington, an economically diverse and quickly-growing bedroom community east of Seattle, wanted Resonance to help it position itself as a compelling destination in the Pacific Northwest for business and leisure visitors. While buoyed by its prime location for new business development, and its reputation as a comfortable, safe and secure destination, the city lacked a long-term destination development plan to attract new visitors and improve the quality of life for residents.
As part of Phase 1, Bellevue required a deep analysis of existing policies, strategies, plans and budgets associated with local travel and tourism. Once existing commitments were documented, Resonance moved on to tourism asset mapping, followed by stakeholder engagement that served as the foundation for a visitor survey. The plan moved into the second of the multi-phase project recently with stakeholder visioning, consensus building and prioritization. These set the stage for the crafting of a long-term strategy and recommendations for implementation.
Resonance conducted a Destination Assessment and Tourism Asset Mapping through a series of proprietary research and measurement initiatives based on consumer reviews of Bellevue’s attractions and activities.
Resonance conducted one-on-one interviews and group sessions with dozens of travel and tourism industry stakeholders to distill trends impacting the Bellevue tourism industry and the threats and opportunities they represent.
