Canopy, an urban park beneath Orlando’s I-4, aims to unite neighborhoods long divided by the freeway. To communicate the essence of this exciting, difficult location, Resonance collaborated with consulting firm AECOM to provide city authorities with recommendations for naming the park, along with a compelling identity and positioning narrative.
The chosen name, Canopy, struck a chord with stakeholders—a canopy sits above us, providing both shade and protective shelter. The bold, playful logo and flexible visual identity system was as multi-faceted and ever-changing as the programming, events and activities in the park itself.
Construction on Canopy is underway. It is expected to open to the public in 2027.
