The City Destination Climate RiskScan is a global initiative led by the Travel Foundation, in partnership with Resonance and a coalition of international partners. It equips cities to identify the climate risks facing their visitor economy and chart a path to resilience.
Each participating destination will benefit from:
To accelerate action, Resonance is providing funding to help three destinations participate in the pilot program with a Climate Action Grant.
Recognizing the importance and urgency of climate adaptation, we are donating 1% of our revenue to fund the first set of Climate Action Grants. This contribution will cover partial costs for up to three cities to participate as the inaugural pilot destinations in the RiskScan program.
Tourism depends on safe, resilient places. By equipping destinations with the tools to adapt, we can protect local communities, strengthen visitor experiences, and ensure long-term competitiveness in a changing climate.
We are inviting destination marketing/management organizations, city governments, and tourism boards to apply. Priority will be given to city destinations who demonstrate a strong need for support and a clear vision for leading their local industry toward a more climate-resilient visitor economy.
Deadline: October 30, 2025
Selection: Winners announced December 2025
Multiple cities will take part in the first wave of Climate Risk Scans, forming a cohort of leading destinations committed to climate adaptation. Destinations interested in joining the program are invited to contact the Travel Foundation directly for details on how to participate.
