Resonance was engaged to identify potential new products, amenities, programming and experiences for Vancouver’s tourism future. The master plan was the first collaboration of its kind between the City of Vancouver, Tourism Vancouver, the Economic Development Commission and the region’s citizens.
Resonance conducted 180 one-on-one and group stakeholder interviews in a variety of neighborhoods around the city to determine their desires for tourism; then we engaged 2,000 Vancouver residents and business leaders with an online survey. After identifying opportunities and threats, and benchmarking the city against its international competitive set, Resonance surfaced eight recommendations and opportunities. These strategies were then detailed into action plans, roles and responsibilities, performance measures and an organizational structure for implementation.
