Since 1987, Darwin has built homes, community and shopping centres, libraries, office buildings, schools, restaurants and hotels in municipalities throughout British Columbia—all the while earning a reputation for collaboration, innovation and an ability to deliver exceptional places. The company currently has more than 65 acres of industrial, commercial and residential projects in active development or construction.
Darwin recognized that its nearly 30-year-old brand needed an update, particularly as the company transitioned from being a builder into a community developer. Resonance was engaged to take on the challenge of modernizing a brand to tell the story of the company’s commitment to making communities stronger now and for future generations while reflecting its roots on Vancouver’s North Shore.
Inspired by the mountains and ocean landscape of the North Shore, Resonance crafted a consumer-facing brand with a strong sense of place and a stronger sense of community. A fresh new color palette, stationary set, and brand guidelines tell the story of Darwin through the integrity of its actions, its straightforward approach to business, and its relationships with the communities in which it works.
